Quality and customer service

We believe in producing great quality plants and having knowledgeable staff who provide excellent customer service. Our team knows a lot about the plants we sell - more than 80% of our them are grown by us on-site.

We're also proudly pesticide-free. Mike's our resident expert on diseases and infestations and he's worked hard to develop natural control methods. If it's something you're thinking about just ask. We can guarantee the bees, butterflies and beneficial bugs will love you for it!

Lastly, of course, we're all about family. Three generations of Burtons now live on the nursery, together with a veritable menagerie of dogs, chickens and cockerels!

Our history

David and Ann came to Rotherhill over 40 years ago. To begin with they rented both the nursery and a house that came with it. When the chance came along to buy the nursery they did just that and made it their home.

The nursery you see today is testament to David and Ann's shared drive and determination. Their children, Jemma and Mike, continue to build on that and Rotherhill goes from strength to strength!

Great place to buy summer bedding plants and perennials at reasonable prices, not like the usual garden centre suspects at all (who charge double what Rotherhill do!) No tat either - just a good old-fashioned nursery selling plants and trees.
