This small evergreen tree has delightful dark green leathery leaves with a caramel velvet underside. As the tree matures, large vanilla-scented flowers emerge from caramel velvet buds and continue to open from summer through to autumn.
One of the real joys of evergreen magnolias is that the flower buds are almost as attractive as the flowers themselves, and 'Alta' is no exception.
