Hydrangea anomala subsp. petiolaris - 7.5Litre

This climbing Hydrangea has attractive heart shaped green leaves and white flowers in summer, doing best on the shady side of your house. Whilst it is self supporting it may need a little help holding to the wall to begin with with a few lines, these will not be needed for long at all!  This is not a climber I would train up a fence, it really needs a brick (or stone/block etc) wall to succeed. Once established there will be a wealth of wildlife attracted to it and in particular if you are able to hang a few bird boxes you will be able to provide safety to small birds in your garden.  Leaf colour: Green. Heavenly Bamboo is an attractive compact evergreen with pointed leaflets along the stems. We have grown the ever popular Phillyrea balls for several years now as they are good evergreen plants that take really well in gardens as shrubby topiary.  They are covered in brilliantly scented flowers from the base of the leaves the spring and early summer, followed by black berries which only adds their garden appeal. Callistemon 'Honey Pot' - BCG24 - 7.5Litre

This bottlebrush is an exotic looking plant with long arching stems of green waxy leaves. In spring the Callistemon develops a fluffy tips to the ends of the branches in as the new leaves emerge in soft fluffy tufts at the tips of the branches, these are followed by long, unusually shaped yellow flowers also on the tips of the branches. These flowers are an absolute mecca for butterflies, bees and hover-flies.  This plant does really well in in the garden generally but also succeeds in pots and particularly in hot, dry areas of the garden. Ilex paraguariensis (Yerba maté) - P12

The Japanese Clethra is a fantastic shrub with strong green, slightly ribbed leaves growing from reddened stems and long pinnacles of white flowers in summer which are extremely attractive to insects, butterflies in particular. One of the most interesting things about this plant is as it matures and develops a trunk the bark colours are much more than your regular brown trunk. This is quite the most unusual photinia with slightly wavy large green leaves speckled with irregular white variegation and pink toned new growth. This plant is best allowed to have a free forming shape thanks to the colour coming from the young growth. That being said a careful clipping once or twice a year will allow it to mostly keep its shape.
