This bottlebrush is an exotic looking plant with long arching stems of green waxy leaves. In spring the Callistemon develops a fluffy tips to the ends of the branches in as the new leaves emerge in soft fluffy tufts at the tips of the branches, these are followed by long, unusually shaped yellow flowers also on the tips of the branches.
