Hydrangea paniculata 'Limelight' - 7.5Litre

Hydrangea paniculata 'Limelight' is a fantastically popular shrub with large, cone-shaped flowers that open a fresh lime green in summer before gradually fading through creamy white to beautiful muted pinks as autumn approaches. Its naturally rounded habit and bright green, slightly serrated leaves make it an attractive feature throughout the growing season. Exceptionally easy to grow, it performs well in borders and large containers and is particularly useful for brightening partially shaded areas. We've grown this variety for years and it's easy to see why it's become one of the most popular paniculata Hydrangeas. It's reliable, flowers for months and seems to perform well whatever the summer throws at it. Hydrangea paniculata 'Little Lime’ - 7.5Litre

This Hydrangea is the most compact variety we sell. It is excellent for pots, shady courtyards and smaller gardens, giving you all the visual joy of a paniculata Hydrangea—just half the size. 'Little Lime' produces beautiful creamy lime-green flowers that gradually age to soft, gentle pinks, providing months of colour through summer and into autumn. Hannah's Tip: If you love the look of 'Limelight' but don't have the space, this is the one I'd choose every time. Hydrangea paniculata 'Vanille Fraise’ - 7.5Litre

This is one of those Hydrangeas that puts on a different show almost every week through the summer. As always, the flowers emerge a fresh lime green before quickly changing in to a crystal white. As the season progresses, the large conical blooms gradually blush pink, giving them the look of an ice cream covered in strawberry sauce! Sadly, I don't have any photos of this variety showing its full colour change because we always seem to sell out before it reaches its spectacular strawberries-and-cream stage! Hydrangea paniculata 'Phantom' is the tallest Hydrangea we stock and, by George is it beautiful!! Its enormous, cone-shaped flower heads are lightly scented and emerge a fresh lime green before gradually changing through cream and in to pure white. As autumn approaches, they're delicately splashed with soft pink, extending the season of colour well into the autumn months. With its impressive height and huge blooms, 'Phantom' makes a real statement at the back of a border, where it creates a spectacular display year after year. Hannah's Tip: Prune this Hydrangea back by at least half every winter to encourage the biggest and best flower heads the following summer. Hydrangea paniculata 'Polar Bear' is one of our medium Hydrangea varieties, making it an excellent choice for the back of a border where its enormous flower heads can really shine. Throughout summer, the huge flowers open creamy white before becoming a crisp, pure white that lasts longer than most other paniculata Hydrangeas. As autumn approaches, they gradually develop the softest blush of pink. With its strong upright habit and reliable flowering, 'Polar Bear' is a wonderful choice for adding height, structure and long-lasting colour to the garden. Hydrangea 'Wim's Red' is a lovely tall variety that brings something a little different to the garden. Its creamy white flowers gradually deepen through rich pinks before maturing to a deep wine red later in the season, giving you months of changing colour. The large flower heads are lightly fragrant and are held proudly on striking red stems, making this a particularly elegant Hydrangea for borders or as a feature plant. Hydrangea paniculata 'Diamant Rouge' may be one of the more compact Hydrangeas we grow, but don't let its size fool you—it's one of the most spectacular. The beautiful cone-shaped flower heads open creamy white before quickly developing rich pink tones that deepen into stunning crimson reds as the season progresses, giving one of the longest and most dramatic colour displays of any paniculata Hydrangea. Hannah's Tip: Whilst I'll almost always encourage you to plant Hydrangeas in shade, this is one of the exceptions. Planting 'Diamant Rouge' in a sunny position really helps to bring out those rich red tones that make this variety so special. Hydrangea paniculata ‘Skyfall’ - 7.5Litre

This Hydrangea is one of the most INCREDIBLE plants and firmly one of our favourite varieties (and we grow A LOTof Hydrangeas!). The flower heads are enormous. They emerge a fresh lime green before gradually changing through creamy white and finally to beautiful dusky pinks as autumn arrives. They're held on exceptionally strong stems too, so they don't flop like some of the other large-flowered varieties. Interestingly, on the nursery they're one of the Hydrangeas that cope with hot, sunny positions the best if we can't fit them all into the shade tunnels. 'Skyfall' has a tall, upright habit and really comes into its own in partial shade, where the huge flower heads seem to glow and brighten darker corners of the garden. It's also just about compact enough to grow in a large container, provided it's kept well watered and fed. Hannah's tip: Either grow it in a pot or in a sunny position—but try to avoid doing both if you want to keep it looking its best for years to come!
